In order to accommodate the demand for both the wide variety of performing arts programs as well as the increasing popularity of their dance classes and programs, Danceology, a popular local dance studio opened by Nicole Lucia in 2003, has moved to a new, expanded location.

To say Danceology is a modern, 21st-century dance studio is an understatement. With the move to their new home in the 4S Ranch Industrial Park, they have transformed from a single dance studio building into an entire Performing Arts Campus! With an impressive 14,000 square feet, the new studio has 2 floors, and includes 6 new large dance rooms — all with state of the art sprung flooring and sound systems. The new campus also contains the Dancer’s Diner Snack Bar, a Starbucks coffee machine, classroom viewing, Wi-Fi, and a study area for students to use between classes. These new features make Danceology one of the largest dance studios on the west coast. It has an endless list of amenities that you have to see to believe.

The physical appearance of Danceology is not the only upgrade. With over 130 dance classes to choose from each week, you are sure to find a perfect fit. The focus is on creating the best experience for each student, with fun and informative classes for the more recreational dancer, and challenging and rewarding classes for the competitive dancer. Alexa Huey, an advanced dancer at DPAC, says “Danceology teachers are able to motivate me positively to do my best. You can feel the passion they have for teaching, and it makes me want to be a better dancer.” When asked about the exposure Danceology gives the dancers to master teachers and professionals in the industry, she explains, “ They bring in a new style that challenges, inspires me and helps me improve on picking up new choreography.” The Danceology team prides itself on staying informed on what is current in the industry, making this campus a cut above in quality instruction for every age.

Among the large and varied dance classes, DPAC is a full-fledged Performing Arts Campus. Underneath its roof is a music program, offering musical instrument instruction and music classes for toddlers. They also house the well-known non-profit organization Broadway Bound Youth Theater, and private and group singing lessons.

When asked what Danceology attributes its remarkable success to, Owner and Artist Director Nicole Lucia replied, “We have been able to cultivate a fun and nurturing family environment, while offering the best in instruction and experience for the kids. It is all about being positive role models of not only skill, but character as well. That has always been our competitive edge. We are a large community of artists and aspiring artists within this large facility; however, we treat each other as if we are family.” Parents are comfortable leaving their kids in the hands of their talented and devoted staff of teachers. “Danceology is like a safe-haven! It is safe and secure, and my daughters love being a part of it” explained Molly Hooks, a parent of a Danceology student.

The nurturing environment and variety of programs offered started out as a goal of owner Nicole Lucia many years ago. She started the studio to fulfill her childhood dream. As a prominent figure in the dance community, she danced with the San Diego Charger Girls, and worked for the Dallas Cowboys organization, spearheading their arena football team’s dancers, The Desperados. What once was a far-away ambition for Nicole is now a full-fledged and well-respected corporation. The Danceology Performing Arts Campus takes dance and the arts to a higher level of excellence. Nicole’s love of dance and her commitment to the community are shared by the 20 other passionate teachers and staff that comprise Team Danceology.
