Instructors learn the necessary skills and teaching methods to properly train pet owners in first aid and care. This course included competent training in the identification and evaluation of the signs and symptoms a pet may develop and the appropriate actions to be taken for proper emergency medical treatment. Jennifer Taylor will be teaching Pet Tech’s Pet Saver Program, an eight hour course that covers restraining and muzzling, primary assessment, rescue breathing, canine and feline CPR, choking, bleeding, shock management, pet vitals, snout-to-tail assessment, first aid kit essentials, bites, stings, heat and cold injuries, seizures and caring for your senior pet.
