Jason Kim’s Solo Concert
Jason Kim is an 18-year old senior student from Westview High School in San Diego. He currently studies piano with Bernadene Blaha of the Thornton School of Music at USC. Jason began playing the piano at the age of six and his first teachers included Eunice Ahn and Dr. George Fee. Jason has received numerous prizes and awards from state, national and international competitions. He has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York and also performs regularly for benefit concerts organized by missionaries to raise funds for trips to distant lands. He loves to share his music and style with the public and hopes to do so as a pianist and conductor in the future. He enrolled in Rice University – The Shepherd School of Music for Piano performance and will study with Jon Kimora Parker.
His solos concert will take place on Saturday, May 24 at 7 p.m. at the the Penasquitos Lutheran Church. The church is located at 14484 Penasquitos Drive, San Diego, CA 92129. Admission is free and attendees are welcome to join them for the reception as well.
