Dec. 26 marks Mt. Carmel High School’s (MCHS) 29th Holiday Hoops Classic at the Mount, an annual boys basketball tournament and tradition. The school will also host Hoops for Hope, a tribute to breast cancer survivors and their loved ones, at 7:30 p.m. The MCHS boys basketball team will start their first game of the tournament immediately following the tribute. MCHS Coach Chris Vitous began the Hoops for Hope tribute last year when one of his parent volunteers, Chris Haden, was diagnosed with breast cancer. “We are especially grateful to the wonderful support from the Sundevil community to support and raise awareness about breast cancer,” said Coach Chris.
