The Poway Unified School District is offering the annual “What I Wish My Parents Knew” parenting forum on Tuesday, March 31 at Rancho Bernardo High School. The purpose of the event is to help local parents understand the pressures facing students throughout adolescence, and to offer resources to help parents deal with those issues.

The opening session will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the RBHS Auditorium, featuring a student-designed video. After the opening session, parents will attend two workshops of their choice from 7 to 7:45 p.m. and 7:55 to 8:45 p.m. Workshops topics are: Communicating With Your Teen; Handling Academic Pressure; Managing Social Media; Establishing Guardrails; Drugs/Alcohol; Depression/Suicide; and Building Healthy Relationships.
