Palomar Health is serving up a unique chance to see local healthcare executive chefs in action at the first Food Forward event on March 12 and 13 at the Palomar Medical Center. The two-day culinary experience, hosted by Palomar Health and The Humane Society of the United States, will educate local chefs about plant-based, cost effective, and sustainable foods. These culinary experts from Palomar, Scripps, Kaiser, UCSD, and Riverside Medical Center will collaborate and receive hands-on training led by former Executive Operations Chef at the University of North Texas Chef Wanda White, who opened the nation’s first vegan dining hall Mean Greens. Chef Wanda will instruct attendees on how to prepare delicious meat-free, egg-free, and dairy-free entrees and desserts that will appeal to guests of all dietary preferences.
