The Palomar Council PTA and the Poway Unified School District (PUSD) are collaborating sponsors of the Adopt-A-Family program. The program was started over a decade ago to bring a bit of holiday cheer to struggling families in the school district. The program supports over 500 families, who are identified by Student Services at each PUSD school with a focus on those who live in or near poverty as well as those who are in crisis. Adopt-A-Family gives the community the opportunity to help families in need this holiday season by purchasing items from a family’s wish list, or donating a gift card or money.
