Councilman Mark Kersey, along with City staff and community members, helped break ground on the new Torrey Meadows Neighborhood Park in Torrey Highlands. The five-acre park will serve the neighborhoods of Torrey Highlands, Black Mountain Ranch, and Rancho Peñasquitos. Once completed, the park will offer a wide variety of amenities and provide space and activities for people of all ages to enjoy, including a multi-purpose turf field, basketball court, picnic facilities, shade structures, and play areas designed for children ages two to 12.

“This project has been long-awaited and will be a great addition to the Rancho Peñasquitos, Black Mountain Ranch, and Torrey Highlands communities, providing a much needed space for children and adults to enjoy,” said Councilman Kersey. Grading of the lot began in August 2016; the project is expected to be open for public use by this summer.
