Two 92129 students received 2017 North County Society of Fine Arts (NCSFA) scholarships. NCSFA awards scholarships each year to deserving North County high school seniors who intend to pursue degrees in the visual art fields. Westview High School’s Sarah Henwood plans to attend either Cal State Long Beach or Savannah College of Art and Design with the ultimate goal of becoming a film or animation illustrator. Mt. Carmel High School’s Kaitlyn Kolsky will continue her education at San Diego State University or Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with aspirations in graphic design or marketing. Both girls demonstrated their creative artistic talent to the Scholarship Committee, as well as strong determination and focus in the pursuit of their goals. Learn more at www.ncsfa.org.
