The Rancho Peñasquitos Library was one of 20 library locations hosting the San Diego Public Library’s 4th Annual How-To Festival this May. Community members of all ages took part in the variety of fun programs and activities. This year’s event included presentations on everything from health and fitness to personal finance to arts and crafts. Whether learning yoga, creative writing, conflict resolution, board game design, gardening, calligraphy, coding, or how to make a worm farm, there was something for everyone.


The event was a great way to explore the possibilities of library programs and community learning. The Rancho Peñasquitos Library offers plenty of year-round education and entertainment options, and the Summer Reading Program kicks off this month. See more on Page 40 of this issue, or visit
