Theatre at the Mount, Mt. Carmel High School’s drama program, kicks of the 2019-2020 season with a production of Humbletown: The Greatest Town on Earth. Directed by Stacy Michelle Walker, the ensemble of 22 will portray a total of 133 eclectic characters.

The show stars contradictory leads – young Jenny played by sophomore Katherine Simon and a cranky old-timer played by sophomore Jack Athans. They compete to tell their version of events, with the help and hindrance of the rest of the town’s colorful cast.

This production is primarily student-led, with senior Malik Labban as Technical Director and set design by senior Riley Barger. Performances are Oct. 10 to 12 and Oct. 17 to 19 at Mt. Carmel High School. All performances are at 7 p.m., with an additional 3 p.m. matinee on Oct. 17. Tickets are available at the door or at www.theatreatthemount.org.
