“West Side Story is timeless – based on Romeo and Juliet and set in New York in the 1950s. Now we’re looking at it through a modern-day lens, recognizing how this story holds true through all these different eras. It’s so common, so easy to see people as other or different,” said the director, Stacy Michelle Walker.

This classic play was first brought onto the stage in 1957 with its iconic and catchy songs. The Tony Award-nominated play presents two rival gangs struggling for turf in New York City. When two teenagers fall into a forbidden love, tension rises, leading to a heart-wrenching end. The play is sure to keep the audience captivated and give a memorable impression of this high school production.
